A Quantitative Analysis of Translations of Germanophone Literature Nobel Laureates”. We have researched translations for all Germanophone Nobel Prize laureates in literature. We have researched up to the year 2022 and we have included all translations that were available for research. Native speakers or team members fluent in the languages Armenian, Chinese, Croatian, English, French, Italian, Russian, Spanish, Serbo-Croatian, and Turkish controlled the catalogues in the relevant languages. Additional translations are taken from the large yet incomplete catalogues of the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek and Worldcat. Unfortunately, the Index Translationum website was offline during our research (approx. winter 2019 – winter 2021). First, we collected our data in simple Excel-formats with metadata on translators, titles of translations, year and place of printing, and languages. We treated each new edition as a new translation for our data. We decided to publish the links to the data sheets with the aforementioned metadata for GeoBrowser (https://geobrowser.de.dariah.eu/). The data in these tables is freely accessible for further analysis. We chose one work for each author that we considered particularly relevant (for control purposes, however, we researched two works each for Böll and Hesse). We created a separate data set for each author. In order to have a comparative corpus, we also included three authors who did not receive a Nobel Prize (Zweig, Bernhard, Bachmann). </datacite:description>
